Food has always been about more than what’s on the plate.

It’s about bringing people together, building confidence, learning new skills and creating opportunities. While creating unforgettable dining experiences is at the heart of Enoki, we also believe in sharing the knowledge, craft and passion that have shaped Dan’s career over the last 25 years.

Whether we’re inspiring the next generation of chefs, working alongside charities or teaching the art of cooking over fire, we’re proud to use food as a way to connect, encourage and give something back.

Why it matters to us

Hospitality has introduced us to incredible people, opened doors we never imagined and allowed us to be part of some of life’s most memorable occasions. Supporting our community is simply our way of passing that opportunity on.

We believe everyone should have the chance to discover the joy that great food can bring, whether that’s learning a new skill, finding confidence in the kitchen or discovering a lifelong passion for cooking.

For us, community isn’t separate from the business. It’s part of who we are.

Visiting Schools

Every great chef starts somewhere.

For Dan, it was baking with family before stepping into professional kitchens at just fifteen years old. Today, he’s passionate about inspiring young people to discover the same enjoyment and creativity that cooking has brought to his own life.

Through demonstrations, workshops and hands-on experiences, we help students explore fresh ingredients, develop practical skills and see food as something exciting, creative and accessible. It’s about building confidence as much as teaching recipes.

Most recently we have been working with Malmesbury CE Primary School and St Joseph’s Catholic School, to deliver live-fire cookery sessions as part of their enrichment days, introducing children to cooking in a way that’s engaging, practical and memorable.

From learning about fire safety and tasting wood-fired ingredients to chopping fresh vegetables, rolling homemade flatbreads and preparing their own chosen protein, every child plays an active role in creating a meal from scratch. With plenty of guidance and a strong focus on safety, they gain confidence in the kitchen while discovering where great food begins.

The best part comes at the end, when everyone sits down together to enjoy the food they’ve created, sharing stories, celebrating their achievements and experiencing the true spirit of hospitality.

Supporting Charities

We’re proud to work alongside charities and community organisations, using our skills to support projects that create opportunities, develop confidence and make a positive difference.

Whether that’s introducing young people to cooking or helping community initiatives through food, we’re always looking for ways our experience can have an impact beyond the kitchen.

Because hospitality is ultimately about caring for people and that extends far beyond the events we cater.

Together with Heals of Malmesbury, we run community cookery sessions for adults, parents and children from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, helping people develop practical kitchen skills that they can take home and use every day.

From knife skills and butchery to preparing quick, healthy meals on a budget, the sessions are designed to build confidence as much as culinary knowledge. During the school holidays, children take part in hands-on cookery workshops before the whole family comes together to enjoy a community barbecue, sharing the food they’ve prepared around one table.

For us, these sessions are about far more than cooking. They’re about creating a welcoming space where friendships are formed, stories are shared and people experience the connection that food has always been able to create.

Fire Cooking Education

Cooking over fire is one of the oldest forms of cooking, but it’s also one of the most exciting.

Our fire cooking workshops introduce people to the techniques, ingredients and confidence needed to cook over open flames. Rooted in classical cooking principles but delivered in a relaxed and engaging way, these sessions are about much more than mastering a barbecue.

They’re about understanding flavour, respecting great ingredients and discovering the simple pleasure of gathering around a fire to cook and eat together.

Whether we’re catering a wedding, mentoring young chefs or sharing the craft of live-fire cooking, our goal remains the same: to bring people together through exceptional food and a genuine love of hospitality.
